I saw March of the Penguins a love story about Emperor Penguins. They're my favorite.
Finally I still don't hate Mattb!
Re: Poll: How often do you backup?

I do approximately weekly. It's the documents in which I keep everything & the pictures, both change about weekly.
Re: Poll: Poll: July The Password is ABC123

I selected option 2 as well though it's a code book I keep in another room away from the PC.
What i do is I'll write a password for some page or the other then enter it in the book. If I need to come back to it I got it. Some passwords though I let Firefox keep like the one for this forum or the other suse forum. Even then they're in the code book, for re-installs & such.

Oh, that's what you meant. Well, IMO Adobe has taken a baby step in our direction the with the 64bit flash. It'll take time but I think you're right.

Re: Why do people give up on Linux?

This is the sig of Opensuse Forum member Dragonbite which I think speaks to a good portion of the reasons as well:
"Linux provides freedom, problem is most users don't know what it is or how to use it.
Re: T&C Envy.

It's been a little over a year now & the other forum as far as I see it has become more of a manual for suse not so much a community. There's some who try to lighten the place up a bit, it...it seems the serious & the sensitive took over over there.
Maybe in time there'll be as much traffic here as there. I sincerely hope that we do because this place kind of like the Ubu or PCLOS forums has a backyard bar-b-Q feel to it. Even after a year the other forum fells like more of a meeting than anything else.
However, there is a loophole one can point to this forum from the other in a post. So if you know of a problem that has been solved here you can point people here. Maybe they'll stay & we'll have more to talk to & about!

More than we got, maybe that hole in space'll suck it up for us.
For those that want compression & extraction in their context menu
June 27, 2009 by sagemta
I saw a post in here about someone wanting an easier way to do compression. There is an app in the Packman Repos called kde -4ExtractAndCompress, just type extract in the Yast2 searchbar,& install it
This'll put Extract Here & Compress in your context menu.
Re: Which Search Method do you use ?
June 27, 2009 by sagemta
I use whereis, rpm -q & cat commands.
Besides I'm a cat person.
Re: Lefora has started a VIP program.
June 27, 2009 by sagemta
I'll be a VIP if they pay me, my fee won't be very high all they have to do is pay me $100.00 USD per visit pay welan's A/C bill every month & mattb $250.00 for all his posts. That'd suit me fine Lefora can send my payment to my PayPal account.

Rene,
1st off why 11.1Rc1 the final has been out since June?
Also,KDE 4.2 is very stable & will cause you no problems.
You did say a few months ago I do hope you've got 11.1 the final in by now. If you have, the repos you'll need for KDE 4.2 are:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/42/openSUSE_11.1/
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/KDE4:/Community/openSUSE_11.1_KDE_42/
If you have the final version installed by now you may or may not need this one:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/KDE:/Qt44/openSUSE_11.1/
As for part D of your post in the Packman repos is an app called KDE4- Extract And Compress,
To find it quickly just type extract in the Yast Search.
It'll install an extract & a compress action into your context menu just right & go.

Does this mean I should change my name to Locutus, Sagemtus, or 0 of 0?
Re: Poll: How much Ram do you consider ideal?
June 20, 2009 by sagemta
I have 3G so that each one of my 3 cores can have a gig when it wants.![]()
Mine is a triple core 3G RAM & it's a year old. It just seems like one needs 1G at least to do anything.
In my personal case definitely no less than 2G. Because the way things are going that'll be the new minimum.
Re: Poll: June: What is your opinion on having a Signature.
June 20, 2009 by sagemta
I think sigs say quite a bit about the poster. So far from the sigs
welan is lost but found
Eds is practically theoretical
Bdquick is a linux pc
Bozo is a disclamer
I'm absentminded
And Matt is No
See we need sigs!
