Ok the program appears to be dvd copying software. Link for those like me who aren't familiear with it http://www.ifoedit.com/ . Looks like you can remove tracks and some other fancy things.
The next question would be what features do you need from it?
There is K9Copy that will shrink a boughten dvd down to just the movie and fit on a standard dvd r. http://k9copy.sourceforge.net/ I beleive it is in all the repos.
If you have a dual layer burner you can do like me for backing up your movies. Simply make an .iso in K3b and burn back to a blank dvd-dl.
Re: no gui at boot

What I always do to shutdown from a command line is gain root priviledges (su) and then
"shutdown -h now" this is a complete shutdown
or
"shutdown -r now" this will reboot your system
Bozo's commands are shorter to type though. I didn't know you could it that way, so I've learned my thing for the day.
For grins on the other problem, try typing "init5" at the grub menu before pressing enter to continue. Init5 should take you to a login irc. Startx bypasses kdm or whichever login manager you have installed.

1. I think part of a best friend's job should be to immediately clear your computer history if you die.
2. Nothing sucks more than that moment during an argument when you realize you're wrong.
3. I totally take back all those times I didn't want to nap when I was younger.
4. There is great need for a sarcasm font.
5. How the hell are you supposed to fold a fitted sheet?
6. Was learning cursive really necessary?
7. Map Quest really needs to start their directions on #5. I'm pretty sure I know how to get out of my neighborhood.
8. Obituaries would be a lot more interesting if they told you how the person died.
9. I can't remember the last time I wasn't at least kind of tired.
10. Bad decisions make good stories.
11. You never know when it will strike, but there comes a moment at work when you know that you just aren't going to do anything productive for the rest of the day.
12. Can we all just agree to ignore whatever comes after Blue Ray? I don't want to have to restart my collection.......again.
13. I'm always slightly terrified when I exit out of Word and it asks me if I want to save any changes to my ten-page research paper that I swear I did not make any changes to.
14. "Do not machine wash or tumble dry" means I will never wash this -- ever.
15. I hate when I just miss a call by the last ring (Hello? Hello? Damn it!), but when I immediately call back, it rings nine times and goes to voicemail. What'd you do after I didn't answer? Drop the phone and run away?
16. I hate leaving my house confident and looking good and then not seeing anyone of importance the entire day. What a waste.
17. I keep some people's phone numbers in my phone just so I know not to answer when they call.
18. My 4-year old son asked me in the car the other day "Dad what would happen if you ran over a ninja?" How the hell do I respond to that?
19. I think the freezer deserves a light as well.
20. I disagree with Kay Jewelers. I would bet on any
given Friday or Saturday night more kisses begin with Miller Lite than
Kay.

You are very knowledgeable on the supper. I would say go for it when you have time. The more knowledge that is out there the better.

He isn't cured yet. Still claiming that IE is better than any linux browser. We all know IE isn't even the best browser on Windows.

Well got my wireless working now finally using the bcm43 firmware. I think most of my problem was my own stupidity. I'm using the old way of ifup instead of networkmanager. Don't forget to disable your wired cards when using that method. Mine always seems to try and used the wired one even if not plugged in.

That drive has been accumulating goodies for years from windows, linux, and backups of other machines.

Well the old girl still has it in her. A tad slower than I'm used to, but still very useable. The upgraded from factory video card helps out quite a bit. *note* forum didn't want to upload an image right now so stuck it up on imageshack.us

I have started torrents of both x86 and 64 bit. They seemed a bit slow, but should pick up as my machine finds more peers.
Condolensences to MattB

Some of you may have noticed that Matt hasn't been around as much lately. He's been home taking care of his ailing father. Matt just posted a note in the mod lounge that his father passed away at the end of last week. Thought everyone else might want to know.

There's a lot to be said for the message in a bottle method, as long as you follow two simple rules.
1. It must be a single malt bottle.
2. You get to empty the bottle.
-eds
If the bottle wasn't empty, it would be alcohol abuse and that's never good.
Re: Leap from DSL to BB
November 3, 2009 by bdquick
Eds definition matches mine. I was happy to go from cable to dsl, just because I got a lot better customer service. It was worth the slower speeds, and still much faster than the old message in a bottle method.
